Would You Do This?

I really love shaker hoods - however - I personally do not have $5000.00 extra to replace my current hood.

My thought is to keep my T/A hood on my 70 Chally Conv - Top Banana Yellow, white top & interior -

& paint the hood Yellow and remove the T/A stripe and paint white stripes on car

I have seen painted T/A hoods only in pics and they look attractive

My color contrast now with black hood & stripes with white top and interior seem to clash

I can see the color clash now.  I can't see anything wrong with painting the hood body color.  I'm not following you on the removing the T/A strip and painting white stripes though.  Do you have any pics?

I say go for it!!  Sounds good to me!!  I think it'll look fine!!

I can make you a set of white T/A stripes instead of painting them on...

Actually thinking about doing the same thing on my 71 ragtop with the T/A hood.
