clear distributor cap?
« on: March 09, 2006 - 05:57:30 PM »
I finally found one for my 340 on Ebay; it seems no one is making these for Mopars anymore (at least for SB mopars). These things look freaky cool at night when the engine is running - talk about a shower of sparks!!!   :wow:

So why is it that nobody likes these? A friend of mine was telling me that the cheap plastic used in these actually conducts to a small degree and that after some time, they just didnt hold up. I could see them clouding up and looking bad after awhile I guess but I have found no other better explanation.

Anyone had one before with the above decribed experience?

Maybe they should market them to the ricer crowd. They like gimmicks like that.

They do - and to the Ford and Chevy crowds as well, but no Mopars.  ???

Everyone had them on their cars in high school. To me it will be like putting the period correct 8track player in the car. It completes the experience.
