New Challenger Roaming the Streets!!!!
« on: April 27, 2003 - 12:25:31 AM »
Hey all, a few weeks back my cousin told me he saw this awesome yellow Challenger cruising around my downtown area.  Up until a week ago, I hadn't saw any signs of it. :'(  A few friends and I were standing in Taco Bell waiting to get some food and I happened to look back at the stoplight and there it was.  A cherry-looking yellow '70-'71 Challenger.  Up until now, I figured I was the only one in this small, desserted area with a Chally.  Anyways, since I saw it that first night, I've been trying to catch it cruising the streets at night.  No luck until now.  I just got back from a college visit at U.W. Madison and I needed to take a cruise on my motorcycle.  Went out with my dad, my sister's enduro didn't want to run, so I ended up getting stranded along one of the main roads.  While waiting for my father to return with a truck, I happened to hear some throaty vehicle coming down the road.  (Around here, it's usually hard to tell a muscle car from a truck because most guys have warmed-over cams and glass packs)  Turns out, it was this Challenger I've been wanting to get a closer look at!  The guy never went by me, so I'm still on my quest to catch up with the owner and get to know more about his car.  I can't wait until summer is in full bloom cuz I'm sure this guy will be at our local car show and cruise nights.

Sounds like a fishing myth.........You know theres a massive fish out there you can hear it, smell it but you've only seen the scales. His day will come and he'll take the bait and when he does let us know what he has under that E-Body bonnet  ???  ;)

NZ, this is an old post; since then, I have been able to meet up with the car, but not the owner yet.  The last show I was at, he took it into the burnout contest and just melted his tires........It was great!  Took out some high end cars while at it, too....Like a fully-tubbed out 600+ '70 Shelby GT500 and a highly modified '69 Chevelle.... ;D ;D ;D  BTW: if you wanna see the car, look for some pictures I posted a few weeks back.  8)
