Value of this Ebay Roadrunner?
« on: February 14, 2003 - 12:49:09 AM »
I went to see this roadrunner as it's pretty close to my home and was surprised to see that the description didn't match the actual condition of the car. The roof had extensive fire damage and was very wavy. The whole interior was gutted including the melted dash, gauges and wiring. It did have a big block but was missing a lot of parts and the brakes where disconnected and missing some parts. As you can see,  all the glass is gone too. It is a RM23 car that had AC and a column shift. I'm negociating a deal now and was wondering the value of this car. I was thinking around $2000. What do you guys think? Here's the link:

Hmm...thinking about it,  it's too much of a project for me now. I would have to replace that roof. i was going to trade some parts for it but will hold off.

Update: guess the buyer felt like he was being taken as he left negative feedback for the seller. I have to side on the buyer on this one;  when I went to see the car in person it wasn't anything as optimistic as the ad stated. The roof is pretty wavy and would require a donor. the tops of the doors and quarters got hit by the fire too,  don't know if they can be straightened. It ws a nice car at one time though.
