« on: March 13, 2006 - 09:23:07 PM »
im buildin my first engine for my 70 challenger. Its a .040 over 360 thats had the stock bottem end balanced. the pistons are hypereutectic and are 9:8.1 with my stock heads with 70cc chambers, i bought edelbrock 6079 heads with 65cc chambers. how much of a compression raise will this be?

Are the pistons flat tops, and included in the raise? Or were the heads put on after the new pistons ran on the old heads.
Just asking.

Never a problem with the Fel-Pros, but I'll not argue with the use of a Cometic.

I shouldn't have said always, LOL. But it is on the 318's, and not the 360's. I almost wonder if it has something to do with the smaller bore........(sealing ring being farther from the cylinder?)
Who knows.
