My motor
« on: March 20, 2006 - 08:58:54 AM »
Well recently we stole some gtas out my dads pickup to get gas in the Duster.  The car was running good for about and hour and a half then it started to sputter and back fire when you give it gas.  I have filled the tank 2 or 3 times since then thinking it might be a water in the gas issue and the water was not pushed out yet.  Now I dont think its a water issue.  Do you think it might be the spark plug wires?  Its a 318 any feedback would be good.

Sounds like crappy gas and the junk clogged the inlet needle or maybe the fuel filter.  Change the filter and try fresh gas.  You also may need to drop the tank and clean it out if it's been sitting for a while.
