For those who asked to be kept posted: The Hemicuda was picked up today for major surgery- complete rotissorie with replacement of rotten frame rail, new metal where rust is major and repair where it is minor. Then new black paint- with a little orange peel and not a lot of clear so as to look like original. Trying to do a stock restoration as much as possible, even down to the Resto Rick underbody dip primer. Not a Roger Gibson six figure "every nut and bolt" job, but everything on body and paint will be done. I expect to see the car back home when the leaves are falling later in the year. I have done a lot myself (bucket seats, correct black valve covers, replacement of incorrect parts with correct ones, new rear carb, new shaker guts and correct argent paint on bubble, correct wheels and tires, correct Hemi automatic, etc. ), but I can't do major body or paint work.
It will kill me to do it, but I think it will have to be sold when I get it back if these sky high prices for E bodies hold up. I'd rather have the money than the car, and I can use part of the sales proceeds to buy a 440 x 4 Challenger or something that I wouldn't be afraid to drive.
Evidently my pictures are now too big to put here- how do I reduce them so I can post? Some are on the hard drive and some on a disc.
