clutch fan
« on: March 14, 2006 - 06:39:03 PM »

Anyone have any good or bad experience replacing the clutch of the clutch fan.
I want to get an idea of what brand to buy esp. NOT to buy.
Thanks ahead of time for your input

I just installed a HD fan clutch from NAPA that works great. The less expensive one that was on the car would not spin the 7 blade fan fast enough.

:iagree:  Thats the one. It is actually manufactured by Hayden. I had a less expensive Hayden thermal unit on there but it would not spin the fan fast enough. It would have probably worked ok with the five blade fan. The Napa unit is a huge improvement in fan speed at low engine RPM.
