WTB - AAR or T/A Style Hood for Cuda?
« on: August 08, 2006 - 03:23:17 AM »

Just curious, where can you buy the AAR style hoods from? Do they make repros?
Also, how much effort is/would be involved in fitting one to a 73 Cuda?

Cheers,
Carl

Carl,
You can buy the AAR hood from Year One. It should fit your 73 fine but you will have to use the lighter TA/AAR hood springs.

Cheers bud, an hour after posting this topic I decided to view my trusty Year One and found they did have them too.

 :2thumbs:

They look cool but they never seem to fit right. I had to do all kinds of extra shimming to make the one on my friends car fit.

Still my favorite hood on a E-body Plymouth

Thanks Pete....I've decided not to get one and stick with the bulge. I like both but wanted some extra clearance with the AAR hood. I agree, one of the best looking hoods out, I prefer it over the Shaker......
