how to remove a fender
« on: March 26, 2006 - 05:01:33 PM »
I unbolted ever screw I could find along the engine bay the two at the bottom of the fender dogleg, two on the valence, the two on the radiator core support. Wiring is disconnected.
What else is holding the fender to the car? It wont come off. Thanks
Ryan

The seam sealer they used over 30 years ago has hardened up and is probably helping your frustration. Also make sure you have the upper bolt just in front of the door. Sounds like you've got em all to me. Good Luck!

yes there is a hidden 7/16ths under the top of the fender that can only be accessed by opening the door. Now...what is an innder fender well supposed to look like because I took off the fender and all there was was rubberised engine bay. thanks plum :wow:

This is about what you should have once the fenders are removed.
