Neutral Safety Switch Connector
« on: March 29, 2006 - 08:49:19 PM »
The guys who put my motor back in for me attached my 3 wires to my neutral safety switch, but without the connector.  Instead, they just crimped them on, can you believe it?

I went to O'Reilly's, looking for the connector, and they can order the switch, but not with the connector.  Where do you go to buy a new connector for your neutral safety switch, without buying an entire harness?  Thanks.

If you're cheap like me. Get one from a junk yard and splice the wires onto your old harness with solder and heat shrink.   The 3 pin switch grounds the middle pin for your Park/Neutral starter solenoid and shorts the outer 2 pins together for your reverse lights.

the old ones are generally hardened & shrunk from heat & often will not stay in place anymore

That'll do it.  I'm buying the whole harness from Evans wiring for $33, though he said he had the connector for about $15.  Done deal, new harness and no worries.  Thanks for the info guys.

I just had to do the same, paid 29.00 thru Year One.  Lot easier than messing with the old stuff.
