My pc got hacked and parts of my site got wiped out!!!

Well I knew sooner or later it was going to happen I just hoped it wouldnt be too bad. Around March 3rd someone got the bright idea to hack into my pc and wreak havoc with my site and pc. First thing they did was start wiping out my web board then moved onto my on line registering forms and contact and feedback forms. Then wiped out my gallery and guest book too. Changed my DNS server IP settings and changed permissions and settings for some of the security stuff on microsoft. It appears they were after my board or more precisely YaBB as whoever it was blcoked me from going onto any of YaBB's web sites. I couldnt accesss the main site for tech support or get onto their web board for the same or onto their boardmod site to download the latest version which is more secure. They also started messing with my email settings and sometimes my email would work and sometimes it wouldnt. All in all the last month has been HELL with all thats happened. I got my web board back up http://www.transamcuda.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pland both the contact/feedback form and On line registering forms are now working. and I am working on a new gusetbook and will again upload a coppermine photo gallery. So if you were one of the 1600 plus emails I didnt receive I am sorry but I almost lost my pc. Please email me again and I will make sure I get back to you!!!!

Man that sucks mate. I'd hate that to happen to my site. Although mine is tiny compared to yours it still sucks knowing someone gets their kicks out of wrecking what you've made. Ah, they get their own mate.

I'm not much of a computer whiz, but is there a way to track down someone that has hacked into your computer? Or is it a needle in a haystack chase?
BTW, sorry to hear about the misfortune Jeff. Hope you can recover it back to how it used to be.
