hey my name is matt and i am in the middle of building a stroker 340 i bought the callies crank h beams rods and diamond pistons i am wondering what would be the better block to use the stock replacement 340 4 bolt main block pt#p5007552 or the r3 block pt#p4876793ac my car is a 73 cuda and it is a street car/ bracket car and we are expecting to be pushing around 530hp.

if you are using better heads the R3 block is the way to go , it offers more potential later on too but can cause header clearance , for w2 or W5 heads the 4 bolt block should be fine
