Mopar lives on
« on: March 08, 2003 - 08:15:40 PM »
;) 8) The last post about the wrecked Duster, and my comments concerning Ying's accident a few weeks ago brought this thought to mind,: Mopars do live on. Ying had to part out his Roadrunner after the wreck, it was beyond bringing back in it's self. But at least a portion of that runner will be a part of my "stable". Today my wife and I drove to a friend of Yings and picked up the bucket seats, console, shifter and linkage from his Roadrunner to restore and to put in my runner. That way I can upgrade from the bench seat and colum shift to that sportier style of the Roadrunner, something a little more fitting for a 440+6. Who knows, one day maybe Ying will slip in that driver's seat one more time, if he does I hope the radio dosen't start to play, lol.

Why, - LB, I don't know quite how to respond to that, you nearly made me blush. But dignity is something I've never been  acused of before, lol. Hey, I do appreciate your thoughts, I'm just an ordinary "joe" who likes to enjoy himself and loves humanity. I just wish somehow we all could get together with all our Mopars, now that would be one h*ll of a fun time!

 8) You probably have posted this info somewhere along the way but I can't recall? What are your plans for under the hood goodies? Upgrading to SB or rebuilding the leaning tower of power? The recent issue of MP has a slant six rebuild if you don't have a copy yet and are considering that. I have a solid 318 if you are interested, I'll treat you right $$$$$$.!

WSM... I appreciate the offer... but I'm going to stick with the Slant for now...  :D Going to try the 2BBL for a while, then probably upgrade to a 4BBL Holly 390 with a cheater plate for NOS.... ;D (only to race the big block guys!!)... I really would like to stay with the Slant as it's great to get all the crazy reactions from people at cruises and car shows saying how it sounds like a 'Hemi... ;D ;D If... correction, when I'm in need of a V8... I'll be sure to give you a call... you can bet my friend and I are going to rebuild another car when the 'Cuda is done... hopefully a Chally... '73 or 74 I would prefer... more towards '73.... would like to create a clone of my dad's car...

'73 Chally w/ Rallye package
Lemontwist yellow, black interior
340 4-speed pistol grip
8.75 rear w/ 3.55 Sure-grip
50,000 original miles
Many trophies....

I'm trying to get him to join this board... but he's been really busy working... I'll also try to get his website that I made back online...  :D
