E-body Rad. support black out, any pictures?
« on: April 06, 2006 - 06:55:58 AM »
Hello Gang..
Looking for some pictures of E-bodies that are in the restoration process that show the blacked out areas of the front-clip/rad. support... I have a friend who's having his '71 Challenger done by someone who's not informed about Mopars....

Thanks in advance...

NZ's pictures look great, just remember the factory did not mask anything so there should be lots of overspray with no mask lines.

NZ, Saw those pics and checked out your site. You have a very nice set of pics documenting your restoration from start to finish. I want to say that you did a great job and I wish I had the time to do a complete job like yours. Great job.  I take pics at the start, but never keep it up through the build.

I wanted to ask one thing though, did you get the rust under the cowl?  That would jut bug the hell out of me that I would just want to cut it off, fix the rust, then weld it back on. That and inside the frame rails are a something that would haunt me! Oh well, too many others things to worry about.

Thanks Rob and JS27...too kind folks. Yip, we didn't do it factory, I believe better, more detail. It isn't hard to better the jobs done by the factories as it was make, ship sell within one week for those guys. The faster the cars were out the more dollars they made. We blacked out everything behind the grille, nuts/bolts, hood release mechanism, everything that wasn't black was made black. We also painted the headlight attaching bolts black on the front grill too.
