    Maybe the AAR registry should track the VIN. We don't want to see this in a rebody 6 months from now...

    You would have to be crazy to swap tags if no one had seen it too, if you get caught it is jail time and the car gets seized.   :wave:

    I just had to throw that out there for anyone thinking of VIN swapping or a re-body.  :nono:

    Yep Barry swaping a Vin happens more then people will admit and some folks just do not understand whats wrong with it!

    How would you like to be the 2 or 3rd owner down the road that buys a car like that and did not know the history AND you paid a prm for the car?


    This happened just recently on a Shelby that was done 20 years ago......guess who has the car now?

    I agree, MOST would re-body that car, but after some thorough eyeballing of those pics, I believe that it could be saved without a re-body (I am 100% sure I could do it myself, at great expense of course).

    The question remains, WILL the next person repair it or re-body it? Someone will need to step up and prove how it was restored when the time comes should it ever get resurected and re-sold, that's for sure.

    I does look salvagable, but chances are the next owner will just cut the numbers and put them on their '70 'Cuda.  At least Barry probably has the numbers on file now so if a car ever does come up for sale with those numbers people will be aware of it. :thumbsup:

    A rebodied 71 HEMICUDA sold for over $600,000 at the Barrett-Jackson this year! An original 70 HEMICUDA only brought $425,000! I believe the original body was burnt in a fire!
