I write from spain, I let the first topic on Newbie's and the picture of my recent "finished" project.
I let my engine combo.
HP 440 block 10-26-69
Forged stock crank @0.020", stock rods.
New bearings, new water, oil, fuel hi volume pumps.
10.34 domed forged pistons @0.030" (with 88 heads)
Edelbrock aluminium heads 88cc.
238-246º @0.050/ .495-.495 lift cam
Hydraulic lifters and aluminium roller 1.5:1 ratio.
Edelbrock performer RPM intake with speed demon 750 cfm and 4" height k&n filter with x-tream top.
1 7/8 headers to 2.5 " exhaust, h-pipes w/cut-out and rear 40 series flowmaster.
MSD 6AL and mopar performance distributor.
Hughes 727 TF, with 3000 rpm hughes stall converter.
3.23 8-3/4 sure grip
Electric fan
Milodon race oil pan with perma cool oil/transmission radiator and extra electric/manual fan.
Car still not proven at dyno but I want to install a new 3" lines from headers to x-pipe and new 3" cut out first.
Probably on July I will make the first race on the track but I want to learn from you and your cars.
I'm sure that i need more goodies to race sure anf faster on 1/4 mile but I finished my budget by now.
I have on my head :
Short rear end until 3.91 : 1 or Gear Vendors unit. (We always cruise 200-300 miles to go to meeting or track)
Install any type of traction bars and/or pinion snubber (I have an unit of this one)
Use any type of drag radials (not available in spain for 15" wheels)
