I do however see a discrepency in some of the numbers between the two diagrams. I wonder if CODY can verify what one is correct from his new handy dandy Service Manual. Again, my pic came from the Authentic Restoration Guide "Challenger & Barracuda by Paul Herd and published by MBI. I read there are some issues with this book on the forums here. I would like to know for sure though.

I got mine from an original 1972 Dodge Body Service Manual for Challenger,Dart,Charger,Coronet,Polara,Monaco.
Not a reprint, but an original. I had this one a loooooong  time. Since yours says Cuda and Challenger, We all know that Challengers are longer than Cudas

True, I thought the body itself was longer, not the frame. Hmmmmm. I must print your diagram and save that or else I will forget in my old age. Thanks for getting my wheels back on the rails. I really should buy one of the service manuals. They must be the holy grail of paperback publications. I have seen the CDs on the internet. Are those drawn from the service manual also?

I haven't seen the CD, so I don't know about it's diagrams. I assume that if they were copied out of the Chrysler manuals that they would have some kind of copyright statement flashing up.

Yes they are copies of the service manual.  I have the CD.

It sounds like a good investment. They are relatively inexpensive. Is it the complete book that is about 2 1/2 feet thick, or is it just bits and pieces? There are a few places to get it. What price range can I find with them? Are they all about $50?

I did a little measuring last night and I think that the pic that Shelbydogg posted is the correct one Challengers.  From the drivers side rear K-frame bolt to the passenger side frame hole I got 57.50".  Now I just hope that the rest comes out close.

From what I've read in my manual a around aquarter inch difference is good,, however what I have discovered made me wonder   There are some differences in frame charts depending on years. For instance, the diagonal between frame alignment hole and Kframe bolt in carlines B and J on a 73 show 57.50 and on a 74 that same dimention  is 55.93. Even though the points across from the holes measure the same distance at 37.5. The frontends look to be shortenedfrom 44.49 to 43.o4 from frame point to the senterline of the hub.   I quess what I'm sayin here is make absolutley sure you use the correct chart.    Good luck and enjoy.  Doug
