AAR custom cuda clone project update
« on: May 01, 2006 - 06:24:15 PM »
Engine bay painted and want opinions on paint. I'm hoping to have whole car painted this weekend.
Color will be light-blue metallic. Black strobe stripes will be painted on and clear coated. I want to paint grill, tail panel, front and rear spoiler  black and leave hood alone.
Should all those pieces be clear coated black to match stripes or should I use the semi-gloss black?  :pullinghair:

Personally I'd go for the semi-gloss, but then again, I'd paint the hood and use semi-gloss stripes as well.

In the grille and tail area, gloss will draw attention to the shape of the area. One of the coolest things about the front of the AAR, to me, is that it's semi-gloss black so the grille seems to be non existant. If you gloss it, you'll catch more reflected light and it will show up more.

It will be very shiny!   :dunno:  I guess I would have to see it before I could say if I like it or not.   So . . . .
