Till you look it over good and get a few pictures, it will be hard to determine what it's really worth over the asking price. Just hope the owner doesn't read Cuda Challenger.com!!  :grinyes:

My second '70 Challenger in 1977 was a six cylinder challenger. I put a rallye hood on it and some wide tires and didn't race anybody but it looked GOOOOD.   4 years later I put in a 440 and I can swear that that was the lightest e-body that I ever owned.  Must be lighter due to the original 6 engine, but I could have been out of my mind because it was so fast.  With the gas prices so high now, I would dress it like a T/A or R/T and cruise it around like it was a Hemi-car.  Buy it Quickly.

Weirdly enough, if I had a choice between a /6 car and a 318 car, I'd pick the /6.

If the car has a A93 code, it is a bit rare coupe option (Deputy Challenger).  Most of these cars have been parted or cloned due to being  a low end car.  There are probably very few left as they were when new.   Here is the break down of 1970 Deputy challengers that I have found listed.  Good Luck...

1864    198-1bbl made,
1215   225-1 bbl,
1243    318-2bbl,
16    383-2bbl,
6   383-4

4344   Total
'68 Charger
'70 Challenger RT/SE (non-running)
'70 Challenger Deputy (non-running)
'1979 Macho W150
'96 Avenger - Gone
'05 Town & Country
'06 Charger R/T
