Paint looks good. No question about it, but is it worth it? I've been down that road before having an extremely detailed undercarriage and I ended up being afraid to drive my ride for fear of messing up hundreds of hours of work or at a minimum spending several hours cleaning it up.
I'm with NZ. For a daily driver it needs to be something other than paint, be it Lizard skin, Rhino Liner or good rubber undercoating. Of course, if you have no fear to drive it no matter what or if it's to be just a show car then by all means, paint it!
Some food for thought from a guy who makes a living as a designer. You're eye is naturally drawn to details. If you have too much of it, what's most important can be lost. Think of a "Where's Waldo" picture. There are always hundreds of faces to look at before you see what you're really looking for... Waldo! If Waldo's face was on a picture the same size with a blank background, you'd see him instantly.
The lesson is that sometimes less is more. Shiny brakes, lines and glossy suspension pieces with a few select colored accents really stand out against a colorless background. As long as it's clean, it will show well and will keep eyes focused on the details. I know it's not for everybody,
and shouldn't be (I like diversity, too) but that's my
