71 'Cuda Worth?
« on: May 09, 2006 - 01:23:33 AM »
Hello All!  Working on a deal right now and need some input. I found a 71 340 cuda that is loaded with options. Shaker, gilled fenders, billboard, wing, louvers Also a FE5 car. The guy has buildsheet and both fendertags. Problem MISSING powertrain, grill, shaker hood, gills from the fenders. The shape of the car needs quarters, trunk drops, rockers, hood, trunk, ect..  The interior needs redoing. What do you guys think it is worth? I know i need pics hopefully soon.
Thanks for any input!

I'm personally very fond of that setup. I would give $7K-$8K for it.

Is loaded or Was loaded w/ options ?
Has it been stripped as a parts car ? Who would pull the gills from the fenders ? Does it have an axle ?

Definitely pics will tell the story . . . sounds to me like it needs everything?   :crying:   Does it have a k-frame, braking system, rear axle and springs . . . and what does the dash look like?  Rallye??

Right now in my head . . . it's not worth too much.   :sadwavey:

I would say 5-7k if it's a real shaker car w/ build sheet etc. That's depends on frame rails, floor, condition of fender undersid of roof rails. If the car has been outside for 10 r more years, than i'm w/ NZ.. and it's worth 2-4k.

If it's a 4-spd car.. then bump up the price. I mean if the guy will sell it to you for 3k or something.. I would just buy it.

Too bad someone conveniently removed all the good stuff. I'm sure it all appears on some clone out there somewhere.  :'( As was stated, this car can't be worth much if someone didn't think enough of it to keep it all together. Maybe they were clueless, but this might just be a parts car at this point if the frame is rusted out.

Let the arrows fly, I would say at least $15,000.  The parts that are missing aren't cheap, but are obtainable.  What is that car worth done??  A factory shaker/billboard/louver car in a great color with a broadcast sheet to prove it.  The worth can't be figured using comparables, because there isn't any!!   :2cents:

Depending on how bad it really is, and what is missing... I'd say between 5-8K from soem misguided but well intentioned fool. I would pay more than 3K maybe, but that's just me.
