  50/50 Tickets!! 

We need to raise more money for the The CudaGuy's Cuda!!   We will have a Cuda-Challenger.com 50/50 contest for the next 2 months.  This will be very similar to all the 50/50s you are used to at shows and cruise-ins with a few changes.  This is how it will work...

You can buy as many tickets as you'd like at $1 a ticket. 

Payment: Payment can be made either by check/money order or Paypal.  To send a check, please send me a private message to get the address.  To send paypal, use this email account LL_Davis@hotmail.com .  In either case, please be sure to tell me your C-C.com member name and email address with your payment.  If there are any fees assessed from your payment (usually only from credit card payments), I will round up the ticket purchase to the nearest dollar recieved.   If I recieve $97.35 after fees, you will receive 98 tickets and your $97.35 will go into the pot.

Your Tickets:  After receipt of payment, I will send you an email with your numbered tickets.  Your tickets will look something like the picture on the left.  I will put the matching numbered tickets into a container for the drawing.

50/50 Total:  Keep an eye on the "50/50 Total" thread for updated 50/50 totals and participants.

Deadline:  All payments must be recieved by Saturday, December 30th, 6pm EST.  The drawing will be on Sunday, December 31st at 2pm EST.  We will video tape Pixie pulling the winning ticket out of the container and post the winner on the board.

Please:  Please publicize this 50/50 in your car clubs and friends and anywhere else you can.  Also, remember we need to keep all of this a secret and only discuss this here in the "Secret" board!!

Let's get started so we can purchase that cuda!!

Sorry Andrew...I didn't explain that, did I?  The winner recieves 50 percent of the total pot.  So, if we collect $5,000, the winner will recieve $2,500.  We split the pot 50/50.

I'll be listing some parts on ebay (as soon as I find my digital camera) and I plan on using that money to buy some tickets.  Hope this goes well    Can you give us weekly "pot" updates?

There's are 2 stickied threads in the "Secret" board.  One for the total donations and one for the 50/50 tickets.  Right now it's at $49.12.  I wish I could put it in the newsbox, but "someone" would be able to see it.

You could put it up there and say its a cc.com 50/50 to raise money for the site or charity.  Don't have to say exactly what its for.

But it would probably just draw a thousand questions that obviously could not be answered thus stiffle participation  ?  But honestly this idea can work well outside of this forum, but here why do you need an incentive to help out? Must there be "something in it" before the members of this forum are willing to donate a few dollars? Sorry, I don't understand that part of it. Even at most car shows where a 50/50 is held to raise money for a worthwhile project the winner turns his share back in to the cause, now that is class. REMEMBER why this is being done in the first place. There is plenty of money on this forum, sorry I can't help out any more, but quite honestly I've been so dissapointed in the response to date..........................

  While it's not "What's in it for me" but what we can do for others.  We can't all donate $50 bucks or even more, but whatever we can is better than nothing.  I was going to suggest a 75/25 where cc.com would get 75% and the winner get 25%, but I didn't know how much response we would get.  Maybe we can search for a sponsor to help out?  I'd be more than willing to call a few places (Autozone, etc.) and see what we could get.  Couldn't hurt to try right?

It couldn't hurt at all!! Call all the sponsors you can.  I wish I had more contacts, but with the hundreds of active folks on this board, this should definately be doable!

Keep trying folks.  Just imagine his face when we surprise him.
