Rob your a genius. When I actually printed off your diagram and notes and went out to the car I had it figured out and working in 10 minutes.

My Red and green wire were attached to a "wiper flasher"...lol. Not sure what the hell it was for but they had it in there. I checked continuity to the firewall and they were my missing wires. I took the pins out of the connector, pluged them into the wiper switch connector and everything worked perfect. I had to swap the red and brown/white wires in the connector but that could have been my fault.

Whooo Hooo.

Ps, the power problem was the big connector in the firewall, the middle one wasn't pushed in all the way. Easy fix!

Thanks everyone!

Dave,  I'm glad you found it.   I gave up on you already as you can tell by my last post.

You Owe me a beer

Now I need to find out what that "flasher" was.  Could it have been a circuit breaker on the variable speed circuit? Anyone?

I do owe you a beer rob, I was asking a lot of questions without checking out one thing at a time. I probably would have figured it out a lot sooner if I had of noticed that flasher. I say they just threw it in there cuz it fit, it was definately my wires for the wiper.

After reading my questions over I swear I'm not as stupid as I sound..lol.  I guess I should have put in some more time before asking the stupid ones.  :pullinghair:

the flasher was obviously plugged into the wrong place , just coincidence that tyhe plug was the correct size & shape for the flasher to fit

Thanks Chryco, I would guess that too after seeing some of the things we find under the dash boards of the cars. I have a '74 now that has a bunch of extra factory wires that aren't plugged into anything, but really look like they should be plugged in somewhere.  Probably all the extra 74 seat belt no-start crap.

OK Guys, just one more question. I have all the wiring fixed, got the cam mechanism above, assembled it and put it on my arm. Now, when I turn on my wipers, the wipers go down then up. Either my motor is turning backwards or my park position is 180 out. Anyone run into this before? Looking at the nut on my motor, the motor turns counter clockwise. And turns clockwise to park.

I can't turn my pivot 180 because it only fits on one way.

Thanks again.

Mine turns counter clockwise to run and clockwise to park too.  Your cam may be backwards. keep playing with it until it extends that extra inch only when turning clockwise.

So it should retract while on and extend when parked. This is what gives them that extra travel to hide them when parked.
