Who likes them? I have always been fascinated with float planes and flying boats, it seams like lots of Mopar owners love airplanes as well?  so post 'em if you got'em!

WHOA!! That's a good photo, I just saw some photos of my Dad I had never seen before tonight.....
It's hard to believe that he was my age once, and for you to believe you were in that blanket.

Barry,  If you ever make to the midwest you should go the United State Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. It is located on Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  (WPAFB).  I take my son there just about evey year during the winter for a break from the snow.  I have attached a few photos, but that's nothing like being there.  Sorry, for the photo quality the lighting isn't the best for cameras.  Here's the link (I think) - http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/

Thanks for the tip! So far, I have beem to the museum at Boeing Field, the museum in Anchorage, the Confederate Airforce museam in Texas and the Smithsonian museum of flight. If I see one I have to check it out.

I love airplanes too.  My father had a twin engine Seneca similar to this one:

He mainly used it in the transportation industry and we have had our share of scares.  But I tell you, nothing is better than running up those engines for take off with everything in synch, the rush of power pushing you back in your seat and then viola, you're airborne!  I won't forget my first landing I did too, pretty bad, bottomed the struts out on a grassy field runway.  The longest flight was from CT to the Bahamas.  I'll have to dig up some snapshots and scan them.

Here's some more picture from the National Air Force Museum.  Check out the nose art taken off of B-52s that were being scrapped, at least they saved something.  Also, check out the size of the Valkyrie (the white jet bomber) it is one of one.  They have all the air force planes there, the Wright Flyer to the B-2.  Also, the museum is free, unlike the Kennedy Space Center (ouch!) in Florida.  I usually leave a something ($) for a donation though.
