New brakes sparks new wheels/tires
« on: May 23, 2006 - 10:31:05 PM »
Last night I finally bought the Baer sport brake kit.  I'm sure that's the best for me.  The only problem is that 15" wheels won't work, and I prefer those, considering bigger wheels too modern and ricy for my tastes, but hey, what'cha gonna do?

So I was thinking 16" wheels will work, at least that's close...until I tried to look up 16x8 and 16x7 with 5x4.5 lug pattern and 4.5" backspacing.  Not liking my options too much, here's what I'm thinking now, and I'm curious about your opinion in this predicament:

Rear
17x8 with 275/60/17 tires (30" tall)

Front
17x7 with 235/45/17 tires

Any problems with this?  I think a 30" tall tire would be great, and couldn't get that 15" rims and 275 width.  Just curious, thanks.

Decisions, decisions...

I could get the American Racing Outlaw II's in 16x8's.  Any problem running 16x8's on all 4 wheels?  Maybe with 275/60/16's in the back and 235/60/16's up front?  This is driving me nuts.  Good bye my beloved 15's!
