"How to" Write ups? Site suggestion..

Hi there guys(and gals)... I was wondering if you all might take some suggestions for improving the site. If I somehow missed that "write ups" currently exist then please correct me and point me in the right direction.
 
I am a relative newbie to C-C.com and am trying to restore a 70 Challenger...Well - I am definately not an expert and am wanting to learn how to do as much of it as possible myself. I would like to suggest that members try to do "write ups" describing in a step-by-step way how to do many of the "mods" or projects that they have had success in. On my other car forum, Supraforums.com and MKIV.com , we use this method a lot - it is a great contribution to the car community and helps others learn how to do things on there own, especially if you are on a budget!

Off the top of my head I can think of a few I would like to see:

* "How to" restore a rally instrument cluster yourself using stickers.
* "How to" restore / convert to aftermarket A/C setup.
* "How to" restore bucket seats, seat belts, etc..

Recently - I saw the results of CC member "Cody" after he restored his steering wheel column. I think this is a perfect example of something that would benefit the whole E-Body community.

Anyway, thanks for reading my suggestion. What do you guys think?

Knowledge is power.  You will find this site is great with helping and giving good advice.  I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT E-BODIES A YEAR AGO.  This site was the greatest asset in my quest to learn and do the job myself.

I'm glad you liked the steering column.  I will have the "how to" page done real soon.  It will be set up just like the bucket seats... I'm glad you liked those to.

Red and Rev's site is the reason I make the HOW TO's pages.  That site helped me believe I could do it and now I want to pass that on to the next new guy.

The next "HOW TO" I will be doing is a DASH WIRING HARNESS.  You'll know when I've started it becasue I'll be on here asking a ton of questions! 

Then I might take on the mighting snake oyl and do the seat belts myself too.

Over the next several years I plan to document a cuda from start to finish with very detailed "HOW TO's"  All the how to's will be hosted on the new lamopar.com site.

thanks for responding Cody. MikeTyler (another Texan) said he did his own guage restoration! I wanna see that! 

I have a feeling that I am going to need the wiring harness how to as well. The wiring (especially under the hood) is all chopped up. In addition I am planning on switching to rally guages from the standard ones...I heard there is a way to use the existing wiring harness but I am not %100.

for now I have to concentrate on finishing the body work and finding a motor that is already built or on building up the 440 that I have now!

Some of us have our own sites with "how to" type articles, if a thread is dedicated to "how to" articles here we could post the links in one spot maybe? Mine are here already, but it would take a search to find them now.

Thanks for responding Alaskan_TA... That is not a bad idea. That way members how would like to have traffic to their personal sites could do so, but people would benifit from the ease of searching.
