Removal manual steering box

need instruction on removing a manual steering box. The steering column is still attached. If you have pic that would be great.

romove the roll pin from the coupler & pry it up with a tie rod pickle fork , you will need to drop the column to do this , split the center link from the pitman arm & undo the 3 bolts holding the box to the K frame

Chryco......The pin was jammed in the coupler. Can it be drilled out? As for dropping the column, do mean unbolt it from the firewall?

That pin doesn't stand a chance to be jammed if you use the right size punch. Or just get a steel rod or bolt or anything smaller in diameter than that hole and drive it out with a big hammer. Unbolt the column from the firewall AND the 2 7/16 bolts at the dash support.

That little bugger just needs a little persuation and it'll come out. I just did mine on the hardtop alittle bit ago and definitely took some work! Keep at it!!

All....Thanks for the advise. I'll work on it again. Note the pin's head was driven down in the coupler. I'll find a small hole punch a drive it out. If need be I'll use the bigger hammer theroy.
