I just shipped mine from Long Beach Ca. to NZ about 5 months ago - the cost was $US1900. Probably be much the same going the other way. I sure hope this one is bought by a Kiwi though, there aren't too many of these beauties over here!

It's a Western Sport Special. Looks in great condition too......has non #'s trans but is all there.
Great price for the supply and demand market of New Zealand......

For those interested that car would be worth: $24,800 USD at it's current NZ auction price of $40,000.

My friend had a real Shelby or sale 2 years back and a guy wanted to trade a similar 71 Challenger for it. He contacted me and sent me the pics to look over. I saw a Green/green fully optioned Challenger.  I told him to pass and sell the Shelby to someone else.  The color killed it for me and I told him it would be hard to turn.

It's just like the old blue interior in yours NZ. How much did it cost to convert it over to black after EVERYTHING was totalled up?  Parts and labor?

With a car in such great shape, you would have to stick with it's color and would have to like it.

It looks like he listed it;

M21 M25 M31 N95 R11 VIW VIW AC3 A91 C16 C55 G34 FF4 HGF8 000 226 156253 EG1 D32 JH23 LOE 134365 DASH JH23LOE134365 DOOR " " 12:01 am, Sat 20 May

The WSS was not available as an R/T though.

I thought the WSS was a stripped model with rear qtr. windows that did not roll down.

p.s. I loved reading through the auction comments...I could just hear the accents!

The stripped down model with the fixed rear windows was a coupe, it was called the Deputy.

A few Hamtramck built WSS Challengers are known now as well.

Hey Barry, I have a friend with a Western Sport who says (I haven't personally seen the car yet) that it's a factory 340ci car. He says he has emailed Galen with no reply as yet, but he has had comments as to the car is a possible rarity and would be almost, if not, a 1 of 1 car. Any input? I can grab his VIN/Fender tag codes, but will need to call him in a day or two if you want to know more.

Cheers,
Carl

Hey Carl,
I know of one 340 WSS from Hamtramck so far, I have heard of one from the LA plant as well but I do not have the numbers for it. Find out what you can for sure! Supposedly no 340 WSS Challengers were built, but I know differently.

T/Ake care,
Barry
