There is one entry in my fender tag that I just can't track down.It's "442".Tag is pretty clean so there is no mistaking it.In case you get curious ,the complete decode is...

 ??? That's wierd.  442?  I know you said that it was pretty clear on the tag it is 442 but even if it was off alittle, like A42 that comes out to Dart Spring Special Package A which doesn't make sense on a Challenger.

I checked out a 1974 Barracuda brochure but they don't list the codes.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

It is not an option code, 1974 Hamtramck tags I have looked at so far vary, I have seen numbers as low as 19 and as high as 944 in the same tag position.

I would like to know the meaning myself.  ???
