Accel Dodge Ram Coil
« on: June 03, 2006 - 07:34:46 AM »
Anybody try one yet?  Don't!!!!!!!!
It is a piece of junk, truck had high RPM misfires and ran terrible under load.  :eek4:
I put the original one back on and it was fine. Kind of makes me not want to buy anything Accel ever again.  :banghead:

Thanks for the heads up. I don't currently run anything Accel, but have had good luck with their stuff years ago. New stuff must be made in Mexico. :swear:

:iagree: I have not run Accel!

I use a Screamin Demon Coil and Live Wire sparkplug wire.  Never had a miss or knock with them.  Just be sure to increase the sparkplug gap.  they recomended .045, but mine works better at .040.

This is on a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 with 120,000+ miles.  :cooldancing:

Sorry about the delay tractansman. My daughter had a softball tournament all day.

I got it on line @ http://www.newedgeperformance.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=295 and they run just under $150.00

This is my second set, and no problems.

Good luck.
