Turn signals

Howcome whenever my headlights are on my left turn signal won't work but the right side does? they both work fine with no lights on.

My guess is that you have a short that feeds power to both sides of the bulb on the left when the lights are on . Thus causing the turn signal function to be constantly on when the lights are on.  Check to see if both bulb filaments are constantly lit with the lights on.

or just a bad ground at the light that will not work
