Torque converter

What is the diameter and stall speed for a stock 71 Challenger R/T 383 converter? Where is the best place to get one.The car will not be raced,I just want it to perform like it did when it was new.

You will not find a "true" replacement torque converter for that car (a converter that was actually out of a car of that specs),just a "compatible" replacement. For example,a converter out of a 318 car/small bowl diameter(11 inch) would be considered a "compatible replacement" :cheers:

Mancini racing has some budget priced untis that are basically stock Hemi type. Which is what the 383 Magnum cars would have had. They stall about the same, somewhere around 1800-2000 rpm.
