Why do some people not post all there info on their profile?

Hi everyone,
I think that sometimes people are aprehensive about the internet, I know that I am. Perhaps I shouldn't be? I never belonged to a forum before C.C-com. I have never bought any consumer items on the internet before. (except for my calendar. thanks you to Rev.) I really don't know anything about pay-pal or ebay and that stuff.
There is just allot of bad stuff and people out there that it's always in the back of my mind.
On the contrary my wife has made so many friends on the internet from Liverpool to Manhatten, all over the US and Canada. The stack of Christmas cards and gifts she received last Christmas was unbelievable, it brought tears to my eyes. There are allot of very nice folks in the world also.
I also don't post much as I'm still concerned I may say something inadvertently that might offend someone and that would bother me. I like the people on this sight just from reading their posts. It's kinda funny how you get an image of someone in your mind from their posts. I admire everyones automotive skills, humour and dedication.
I like to see all the car pictures. I used to buy mopar magazines for the pictures and to dream. I like it a CC-com much better! I always wondered though who foots the bill?
All this stuff can't be free? I for one would be willing to pay a members fee if it became neccessary in the future

Mikey the answer to that question is our Admin. "69ChargerR/T" aka "Ross"  . . .he is the person responsible for this great place.  Honorable mention to Simon who hosts it for us!  I thank them everyday . .      (unless we're offline and then I'm cussin' them out!)       lol

  Very true!  But then when you meet them, you think "wait a minute...you're not supposed to look like that!"  For NZ and Andrew, I hear their posts in my head with an accent that I'm sure my mind is butchering!

  I recently put the following on my answering machine in my best pirate accent ARRRRRRRR!!

  "RRRRRRRR Hoist yer message on this here answering machine an' ill Get-ta-it when i return...RRRRRRRRR"

SNL had a skit back in March...a meeting of the Pirates Club or something like that...on the episode hosted by Peter SaaRRRRRRsgaRRRRRd

I also send lots of people here to read posts and look at pics via links, and tell them to register quickly to get a login, to be able to see the pics.     Maybe dormant accounts should be delete after a couple of years of not logging in.

I would agree with deleteting dormant accounts.
if nothing else, send them a notice.  Chances are good most of the old emails are not even valid.

Glad I'm not the only one that does that.Now I gotta imagine Andrew with his pirate accent now    when I met the group at carlisle nobody looked like they should.Meaning it as nicely as I can ,you people are way to cool to be that old

I hate to say it, but any info someone can get off of the internet may come back to bite you in the butt. Birthdays, places of residence all are useful to someone wanting to defraud you. Sorry but it is a fact of life. Hey, I walked to school as a kid alone, no way my kids are walking nowadays

True...by the way I love what you have done with the living room...

no realy it can be really scary what people can find out about you...but still it would be nice if people would list the state they are in...if I knew someone was nearby I might see if they were interested in meeting some time...just not enough MOPAR guys in the state/area these days..all the Mopars were sold out of State..
