    Demon or a Dart?

    I was thinking in buying a Demon project to have lika a daily driver, but since i been checking this car out i wonder is this Vin really a Demon or just a Dart since its a 318 not a 340 and i thought Demon had vin LM29h, the VIN # is LL29G can somone help me out here?
    And no i dont have picture of it.... :bigsmile:

    Demons also had /6 motors as well as the 318 and 340, good luck finding one. I've been looking for quite some time, they seem to be either rusty junk or real pricy, and that's what you expect when there was only a 2 year production run. I did locate two in Mi. a few weeks back that were decent and reasonable, but missed out on both of them and both were 340 cars  :banghead:

    I have allready found one(sure some real rust issue) But i dont know if its a clone or a real one, thats why i got confued with the Vin # i dont want to pay 3k for a clone...

     :iagree: Sorry I can't help you with the numbers, but I'd too make sure the vin was legit no matter the condition. I'd take a 71 Duster too but I don't want to be sold a Duster cloned into a Demon, but I'd take either in the 71 Model year. But $3000.00 would be considered most reasonable even for a lot of rust, I've found that a pretty solid one will bring 4-5K, especially a 340 car, even without the drive train ! Good luck.

    Can you put the VIN in a VIN decoder to tell you if it's a Demon or not?  Or does it just tell you a price class?

    Also what year are you looking at?

    This link shows a Demon with VIN LL29Cxxxxxxxx.  It had a 6 cylinder.

    The car i looked at was a 71, its Vin was LL29G1 and it got a 318 block in it(owner told me its matching#)

    LL29 is a Demon for `71 as 29 means it`s a sport/hradtop and Darts were only sedans until `73 when the Demon became the Dart Sport right?   :thinkerg:
    G is 318.
