fender tag help
« on: June 21, 2006 - 10:11:40 PM »
Here is a fender tag that I need some help with.  The first code is tough to read but I think the rest is reasonable.  Think I need a new one??   :pullinghair:  If someone will send this through the decoder, I would appreciate it!

Looks like:

V3X C55 P37 R11 Y05 ENI
EV2 N6X9 000 424 077611
E24 D31 BH27 COB 000000

Barry should know this one.....

Your ENI is really EN1
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I'm not a decoder, but I will tell you what I see....

Barracuda slant 6 with 904 3 speed auto.  HIGH impact Tor Red   Your N6X9 is most likely H6X9... meaning Black bucket seats.  The 000 are full door panels and the 424 is an April 24 1970 build date.  It is a Hamtramck car also.  The 077611 is the order # and doesn't mean much.  The V3X lines up with the 27..... Black Convetible top!  C55 is bucket seats..... same as the H6X9.  The P37 is a power top... I THINK?  R11 is the cheapest radio and Y05 is built for the great old USA.  That should be all of them.
