shifter recomendations
« on: July 12, 2006 - 04:14:33 PM »
I'm looking at getting a Hurst Automatic shifter and just wanted to know if anyone had a V-matic, Pro Matic or the standard Indy Shift style of shifters installed in their cars and what they though of them. I would love to go manual but being in Australia I get the luxury of mulitplying the value of everything in America by 3.

Cheers

This is the one that I like . I do not like ratchet type shifters because I like the stick to move location each time I shift. It is just personal preference. If the stick does not change positions you do not know if the shifter mechanizm inside the shifter actually moved the trans. lever, where as a non ratchet shifter if the handle moved forward the lever at the trans. was moved too. Am I making sense?:clueless:    :burnout:
