Leaf Spring bolt tightening... torque#s and sequence ?
« on: May 18, 2003 - 10:47:32 AM »
70 Challenger    8-3/4  rear...

I got the car out of the garage...   I was told to drive it around the block or two after bolting and tightening in the new leaf springs...

what should the final torque #s be  and  is there any special sequence that I need to pay attention to ?

thanks as always !

The U bolts need to be tight & they can / will stretch , i would torque them to at least 70 ft lbs  ;)
