Was the tuff steering wheel ever released in B5 blue?
« on: June 17, 2006 - 03:47:21 PM »
I'm thinking of geting myself the Tuff steering wheel. And I was wondering if it came in B5 blue. The reason I'm asking is because that the right color for my 70 'cuda's interior. I know the tuff wheel wasn't on the 'cuda before 71. Anyone have picture of a B5 interior with tuff wheel on?

I have seen them in later years in all colors usually Codobas or Miradas etc , but I`m not sure if a B5 was ever made , the ones I have seen have been Burgundy or Dk blue

To the best of my knowledge, the Tuff wheel was never factory-available on Cuda-Challengers.  I'm pretty sure the early-70s A and B-body wheels came in black regardless on interior color.

I thought they were available on 71-74 E-Bodies.  :dunno: With the 73-74 models having 2 spokes instead of three. I have only seen burgundy and black though.

I saw a show on speedTV not long ago where a vendor was making the wheel in colors but you had to use your OE button. They could paint to match for you. Don't remember the name but they also made a nice pistol grip handle with options for shift patterns 4, 5 & 6 speed.
