Parts for Fuel injection

I have been reading articles about Megasquirt EFI. I am very interested but I do not have a lot of knowledge with EFI. If I wanted to set my 340 up with MPI what parts would I need. Please help.

I have a victor 340 manifold how much would it cost to get it machined and welded for fuel rails? Who have you guys used?

Where do I get fuel rails?

What size injectors? 450-475 horse +100 shot of nitrous.

What is a good cheap throttle body and where can I get it.


Any other information is greatly appreciated.

Holley has fuel rails availble in diffrent lengths , you just need to drill it in the locations where th einjectors luine up , something in the 45lb / hr range should fit your needs Mega squirt can help with the exact size you will need , you will need a high flow fuel pump too
 there are throttle bodys available from a # of suppliers ranging in price from $500 - 1200

Who would you recommend to weld bungs onto the manifold? Also when drilling fuel rails do you drill all the way thru to the center or counterbore them?

usually just bore deep enough to seal the O ring & leave a ridge ijnside to stop the injector going into the tube & blocking the flow to other injectors
depending what bungs are used they can be threaded or epozyed into the manifold , anyone with a Tig welder could weld them in for you

If you want a quick, working complete fuel injection kit, get the Edelbrock.  They put alot of money into R&D and never ever sell a bad product.
