Captain MOPAR.....anyone remember him...
« on: June 28, 2006 - 09:20:34 PM »
honestly, I can't remember if it was Captain MOPAR or MOPAR Man( I think it was Captain )......many years ago(15-18) for several years in a row at the Columbus MOPAR Nats, a character showed up driving a red/white 59 Plymouth dressed in a super hero suit and went by the name of Captain MOPAR.....he wore the suit all weekend and no one ever saw him dressed otherwise....the face mask was kinda like Batman, too much spandex and a cape.....very odd to say the least....anyone else remember this guy, or know what ever happened to him....green Kryptonite ?

oops, sorry, should have been in off topics....

my buddys RT....383, matching everything....he is the second owner, bought the car for $800 in the old days

I remember seeing photos of him in magazines back then, I wonder what happened to him too? There was an Elvis at Carlisle last year with the same kind of car........   :clueless:

I also remember him as I have been going to the Nats since 1985. He was called MOPAR MAN. I had to ask my son just to make sure as we seen him up until 2 years ago and now he vanished. We may never know the real story behind him but it was very cool to see him drive down Brice Road and jump out and run around his car. A couple times I seen him walk up and down Brice Road through the people standing along side the road. If anyone knows what happened to him or why he did this it would make for some great reading.
