Help with slap stik shifter install

I am adding a slap stik shifter next weekend and my main question is what would be the best way to adjust the linkage to avoid the problems . Such as hard getting into park? keeping it from holding only part of the way into gear? and any other small problems that I may encounter? Thanks guys

I have seen alot of slap sticks that would either give you full park or full manual low , not both. The way I fixed them is to take the transmission shift lever off the valve body , cut about 3/8th of an inch out of the middle and weld it back together (to make the lever shorter)
It makes the ratio quicker at the transmission.

the slap stick used a different shift lever on the tranny , you can either do as above & correct the length of the arm of get th ecorrect arm ,I would adjust it in park & see if it ratchets in 123 & make minor adjustments until it does shift right
