Classes
« on: July 09, 2006 - 04:16:28 PM »
Hey everyone,
another great year at carlisle, there were some good and bad things this year. The good are the newer cars were up on the hill, and a great burnout contest. The classes this year were pretty messed up, it seems like they were trying to make it more like Nats. The judging was not fair I dont think, Carlisle Productions needs to make a certain class for Tribute, Clone, or Recreation cars. These cars may be very nice, but I dont think they should be able to compete and win over an orignial car. Thats just my 2 cents, want to hear some other peoples thoughts and opinions on this years class set up.
Thanks
Dave

As for those of us that were there for our club, we didn't care squat about judging, or what year our car was, or class, or whatever. We were there to be together.   :jumping:  That was fine on Friday, but Saturday, the parking lot police made a few members move from around our tent, to where their respective car catagory was.  :dupe:  We found a way to bend the rules a little to keep Old School and his Cuda with us.  :naughty: Really we didn't care about all that judging stuff. This was the first year anyone had to move their car from our tent.

Sorry I can't help you with your question. Seriously, I think the majority of us(here) just wanted to hang out and have fun together.

From your stand point, I can add that there was apparently a new management this year.  :eek4: Yep, the rules changed some.  You aren't the first person to notice that.

:iagree: First I agree 100% with Mike ! The parking for the show field is well organized, but as far as judging is concerned unless you pay the $100.00 to actually and truely be judged, the only vote tally is by participant voting. And the real/actual judged cars are done at another location I beleive, not on the "funfield", but not real sure on that? Anyway, everybody pays for their registeration just like each of us who attended as a club (c-c.c) but we also paid $150 for tent rental and $20.00 for a table rental...............and we were told as in past years we as a club could park around our tent, well as Mike said that didn't happen on Saturday. For some reason there were in particular 2 @sschecks who showed what an adult tanturm looked like evidently to the guys assisting in the parking of the cars, honestly I felt sorry for them, they were caught in the middle (that usually happens to the good guy who volunteer their time) and some of us had to move our cars, but none had to go any great distance. And as Mike said only Oldschool would have had to move a long distance..................but ya got get up pretty early to out fox our clan, Oldschool first just pulled in under the tent  :roflsmiley: and later moved out between the rows of cars. We still had a blast !
