The photos seem a bit grainy. Do you know what the film speed was set at, or was it on auto. I know when "testing" my lense I set film speed to 50 or 100 ISO (depending on overall lighting, f-stop and shutter speed) to prevent the grainy texture.
A funny story for you about the contest. I guy sitting in front of me with a cute girlfriend was acting real obnoxious. Hooting and hollaring, screaming for #7. Well after a bit of time the girlfriend politely asked for him to calm down. He did for about 2 seconds and then was back at it. Well the girl would shoot him a look, jab his side and let him know that she doesn't really appreciate him oogling
another girl while she is there
(and I think he is lucky to have her, if you know what I mean). In any case when the winners were being called, he must have turned 16 because he went ballastic with comments and such. Well his girl didn't appreciate that at all and to show him how upset she was she dumped her soda all in his lap
Talk about drama you should have been there.
