Ralley Wheel Help???
« on: May 20, 2003 - 10:58:12 AM »
I just got 4 ralley rims '15 Inch" refinished and had new tires mounted....Noticed that the rear rims were a little bigger than the front rims....but didn't bother to measure them. Just thought that back was probably 8" and fronts 7" right....Wrong....I got 4 new brushed trim rings from "The Paddock" for 15x7 wheels...Here is what happened they fit ok on back rims but will not lock in on front rims...hit center of wheel before they lock at rim?
My question is this was there a ralley rim made that was 6.5" instead of 7"..maybe why rings will not fit?? I had always thought that the smallest rim was 7".
If this is a 6.5" rim any idea where to get trim rings..if not anyone know of a company who sells 7" ralley's at reasonable cost...I think the backs are probably 7" and not 8" as I had first thought.
Thanks Guys and Gals....................WOODY.

Not that it matters for the rims but I forgot to tell you all what car the ralley's are on.....It's a 71 Cuda "340'.

The mid 70s Chargers / codobas used a 6.5" X 15" wheel , these are more common than the 15x7 wheels , not sure whwere to find trim rings though

Chryco..
Thanks for the reply.......learned something new as I had no idea that Mopar made the 6.5" ralley. All I ever read about was the E body so the 7" was popular.
