Could the rear blackout on a 70 cuda be deleted as an option?

I've seen a pic of a 70 'Cuda with the rear panel in body colour - was this available as afactory option or just the result of a repaint??

I've been seeing a whole lot of cudas with the rear panel body color and missing the stainless trim.Looks like quick work for resale.

I'm pretty positive (like 90%) that they were only offered in black, no option.

It will just be a repaint and/or a custom job.

All 'cuda's had the rear panel blacked out.    I don't think that is true for the grand coupe or barracuda.

plain jane Barracudas have the tail panel painted the body color. There are also no holes for any stainless trim...(like on a Cuda)
Cudas were black Organosol, or silver Argent to match the grill...I believe...
my AAR is black Organosol, and my 71 Barracuda convetible (1 owner car) is orange body color.

Well you learn something every day ,kinda like '68/'69 chargers have pieces swapped around so much it's hard to tell.But people build their cars to suit their tastes ,can't argue that
