3rd place Challenger
« on: July 16, 2006 - 02:51:18 PM »
I won third place with my barn fresh faded Challenger last night at a local show in Delphos, OH. Appx 150 cars showed up. OK, OK, there were only 3 cars in my class and the other two (chivies) had shiney paint jobs. I had alot of fun just showing up and wasn't expecting anything as an award. I was embarrased, but several of us got a good laugh out of it.  :smilielol:

Thanks. I'm still having some chuckles. I've had restored cars in the past that should of blown the competition away and never placed. Got alot of "nice Cuda" and "nice Charger".  :banghead: Too bad these people are just illiterate and can't read either!

I can remember back 22 yrs ago or so when I had a blue 70 challenger conv. and some guy on the street ask me "What year camaro is that?" and I replied " You"ve got to be kidding, Right?!"  He wasn't! I told him what it truly was and end of conversation.

I have heard everything from, Hay dude nice Mustang or nice Camaro, some guys from Jamica thought my Cuda was a Pontiac. The best is when people walk around the whole car and then ask what is it?  :clueless:

Tony great job. I enjoyed the visit last week at your shop and hope I did't eat up to much of your day.

Way to go....

Barn finds are fun to show....I've had a lot of people tell me not to restore my T/A as they get tired of seeing 100 point show cars. My T/A has character...I'll still restore her one day (After I retire from Military) but until then "I'm proud to show the old girl...she has had a hard life."
