roller pilot bearing

How does the roller pilot bearing for the input shaft/end of the crankshaft install. I've always used the bronze bushings. The roller bearing is a 1.82" diameter so I'm guessing its pressed the very end of the crankshaft, near the flywheel hub?

The bearing housing has a beveled side and a flat side. Which side goes toward the crank? I'm guessing the beveled side but I've never installed one before.

If you were going to hammer something in, wouldn't YOU use the beveled side in? C'mon Vette, you didn't have to ask....Hammer that puppy in already.

I know what you mean. There are parts that I screwed up too because I thought I knew better, only to find out different.
