Rick's Hotrod Shop
« on: August 11, 2006 - 08:19:01 AM »
When I was talking to my engine builder, we got into a conversation about my entire build and what my plan was on the fuel delivery system.  I mentioned I was toying with the idea of contacting Rick's Hotrod Shop to build one of their stainless steel tanks for my car.  He thought it was an excellent idea, so I did.  I just got the tank yesterday and thought others here might want to see it.  It is awesome!  :bananasmi
The tank is one of thier Stealth Series tanks build for the 70 to 74 Cuda's.  It has a Aeromotive A1000 pump, 100 Micron filter, and an electonic 3 wire sending unit for Ford's or Mopar's built into the tank.  I had options of what pump to run and what size of supply and return lines to have the tank built for.  I ended up going with a 5/8" supply and a 1/2" return.  The tank also as baffles built into the tank to keep the gas flowing when taking corners.  They were super nice guys to deal with and you could tell they like cars as they could talk forever on the phone about them.  The build took about 5 weeks to ship and were up front with everything.  :bigshades:

Not really sure on the capacity.  I would think it is close to the stock capcity as it is pretty much the same size.
The tank wasn't cheap, but included everything you see.  The pump, filter, and sending unit.  All together it was about $1800.  :faint:
But the tank is superb quality.
