Drip Rail Re-install
« on: July 31, 2006 - 08:13:30 PM »
Car is back from the paint shop and I am ready to re-install the drip rail molding.

I was wondering what everyone uses for the two sided black tape that was originaly between the drip rail and the body.  Assuming it was two sided tape?

Any suggestions.

Appreciate it.

Jerry

I'd be interested in how you got these off as I don't want to ruin them.

They are actually very durable.

I used a putty knife on them and they came off quite easily.  I was surprised.  Keep in mid I stripped the car complete so I was not worried about the paint.

Thanks for the reply - are there any screws under the w/stripping  I'll have to pull it off this weekend and get to it!

Tom.

Its been a while so I am not sure as to how many.  I believe that there are several on each side, but they were easy to take out.  No rust at all.

Thanks I'm fixing to tackle this today.  Maybe some photos too.  Got to clean the garage first.
